The Fall River Century is a supported ride featuring 200K, 100 mile, 100K, and 25 mile rides, 72 miles East of Redding on State Route 299.
This event is a fundraiser for the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA). Please consider supporting TAMBA with a membership, a donation or by buying a T-Shirt or hat at the event. With your help, we’re making trails in Tahoe better for mountain bikers.
XC RACE@ 9:30am: A fun, high elevation course of about 6 miles. It will not be the same course as prior years, Red Cliffs and Meadowview trails are no longer available to events due to property issues. See online reg list for number of laps for each category. Racers meeting at 9:20am, Race Start at 9:30am. $200 Pro/Cat 1 purse for fastest times. Race is part of the USAC Regional Championship Series. It is a qualifier for 2017 MTB Nationals. Post event awards ceremony and product raffle. Registration available online at www.BikeReg.com for $29 until June 26 at 11:59pm, then price increases to $35. Online registration closes on Thursday, July 21 at 8pm PDT. $10 late fee for same day registration.
THE DETAILS: Check online registration list above for a list of all categories and age groups. Helmets required at all times. Five riders to make a class, smaller classes may be combined. Awards to three places in all categories. Registration/Number pick-up opens at 7:30am, closes at 9:00am. 2016 USA Cycling racing license or one day license required. Annual licenses available at www.usacycling.org. $10 for one day licenses. We are allowing one day licenses to race in the Cat 1 fields, however they will not be eligible for the Championships. Race Day results will not be affected. You must have an annual license to be eligible for the championship series. You can qualify for nationals on a one day but must purchase an annual license prior to registering for nationals.
LODGING: There is excellent lodging at Kirkwood Resort or there are several Forest Service Campgrounds in the area along Hwy 88.
DIRECTIONS: Google Maps-1501 Kirkwood Meadows Drive, Kirkwood, CA 95646. Go all the way around the entry road until you see the pool. You can turn right and go up the hill to park by the red cliffs lodge or go straight to park in the giant parking lot.
