El Capitan is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, in Yosemite Valley. You can climb it, but we like it just fine from the Valley floor.
Vernal Fall is spectacular! Water flow is heaviest in late spring and early summer, but even in mid-September, the fall is well worth the steep, three mile round trip hike.
