  • Cave Rock State Park

    A small day-use area is tucked beneath the rugged volcanic face of Cave Rock. Facilities include a boat launch, picnic sites, and a small sandy beach.

  • Taylor Creek SNO-PARK

    Taylor Creek SNO-PARK, located on the west side of Highway 89 just north of Camp Richardson Road, provides access for cross-country skiing, dog sledding, and snow play.

  • Mount Sill

    With a summit of 14,159 ft (4,316 m), Mount Sill is one of the fourteeners of the Sierra Nevada in California, with striking views of Kings Canyon National Park and John Muir Wilderness.

  • Plumas National Forest

    Plumas National Forest is situated just south of the Cascade Range, and home to many streams and lakes, deep canyons, mountain valleys, meadows, and peaks.

  • Slide Mountain Trail

    The Slide Mountain Trail is short (about a one mile loop), but has terrific panoramic views of Mt Rose, Reno and the Washoe Valley.

  • Mount Russell

    Mount Russell, at 14,094 feet (4,296 m), is the seventh highest peak in the state of California, located about 0.8 miles (1.3 km) north of Mount Whitney.
